Job Description
Longbridge Financial (LBF) is adding to our team a Contract Data Warehouse Developer. This Contract role will play an integral part of our existing team.
We are looking for a hands-on Data Warehouse Developer to support the design, development, and maintenance of our enterprise data warehouse. You will work closely with the Data Warehouse Architect / Manager to build data pipelines, transform datasets, and model data for reporting and analytics. This role requires a strong understanding of Azure data services, dimensional modeling, and Power BI integration.
Job responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Develop and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Synapse Pipelines.
- Transform and load data into the enterprise data warehouse following dimensional modeling best practices.
- Support the implementation of Microsoft Fabric features including Lakehouse and Direct Lake integrations.
- Create and maintain Synapse SQL views and tables to support reporting and analysis.
- Collaborate with business analysts and data consumers to understand reporting requirements.
- Build and maintain Power BI datasets and support semantic layer development.
- Assist with performance tuning and query optimization across data assets.
- Follow governance and data quality standards set by the Data Warehouse Architect / Manager.
- Participate in troubleshooting data issues and performing root cause analysis.
- Document ETL processes, data models, and technical specifications.
Qualifications
Required:
- 3 years of experience in data engineering or warehouse development.
- Strong SQL skills including T-SQL and familiarity with Synapse SQL.
- Experience with Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, or similar cloud ETL tools.
- Knowledge of dimensional data modeling and star schema design.
- Experience working with Power BI, especially in dataset development.
- Familiarity with source control and deployment processes in a data environment.
Preferred / Nice to Have:
- Exposure to Microsoft Fabric, Lakehouse, and OneLake.
- Exposure to Tableau
- Experience with DAX and advanced Power BI visualizations.
- Understanding of data governance and data quality best practices.
- Previous experience in the mortgage or financial services industry.
