Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring patient safety
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Assist with medical procedures, such as wound care and sterile dressing changes
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Document patient information and maintain accurate medical records
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment
Qualifications:
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or relevant healthcare certification
- Previous experience in assisted living, acute care, or similar healthcare settings preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic medical procedures
- Familiarity with medication administration and dosage calculations
- Proficient in medical documentation and electronic health records systems
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to provide compassionate care to patients of all ages and backgrounds
Skills:
- Experience administering injections and IV infusions
- Familiarity with sterile processing techniques and aseptic technique
- Proficiency in medication administration, including oral, topical, and inhalation routes
- Knowledge of ICU protocols and procedures
