Position Summary:
Under general supervision of the designated manager, posts, verifies and reconciles data into the financial reporting system and processes payments. Provides information about Health Care Assistance Program (HCAP) to Los Alamos residents and gathers information necessary to determine patient eligibility. Coordinates with health care and social services providers on claims processing, referrals, and contracts for services. Performs a variety of administrative and staff support duties for Social Services, including support to committees and councils. Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Two years’ experience in an office setting which must include medical claims and billing and some combination of secretarial, business or administration experience such as preparing correspondence, reports, presentations, agendas, scheduling, and calendaring, coordinating travel arrangements, customer service and maintaining departmental records.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associates Degree or technical certificate from an accredited college, university or trade school in related field.
- Ability to communicate verbally Spanish.
- Community Health Worker Certification.
