INFORMATION ON SCHOOL SITE(S):
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
will be a visionary and innovative leader who will contribute to a culture of collaboration, interdependence, and mutual accountability; have a proven track record of increasing and accelerating student achievement as evidenced by performance data, and prepared to lead the students, staff, and community toward academic success; have in-depth knowledge and experiences with diverse populations of students; be committed to working collaboratively with all stakeholders with a purpose of fostering a school environment that promotes academic achievement, social-emotional growth, safety and cleanliness, and create strong partnerships with parents and the community; have effective oral and written communication skills; have knowledge of State, Federal, and LAUSD policies, procedures, and regulations; have knowledge and experience with standards based instruction, the Teaching and Learning Framework, the Master Plan for English Learners; be able to conduct classroom observations and provide actionable feedback for improved performance; have experience in planning, designing, and implementing professional development; and have excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task while meeting commitments and deadlines.
SALARY:
- For employees who change basis during the school year, this basis change may prevent them from earning a full year of service credit.
- For an annualized employee who is changing basis during the year, this change may result in an annualized “settlement” (i.e., the process by which the District resolves an under or overpayment).
- Selected individual may be subject to displacement due to norm allocation and seniority based RIF provisions or due to budget limitations.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE (PUBLIC SCHOOL SETTING):
- Five years of successful full-time public school district certificated service
- A minimum of three years of experience as a teacher in a K-12 program
- No fewer than two years of successful experience in a middle/senior high school counseling office
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
- A valid California teaching credential requiring a Bachelor's degree and a program of professional preparation, including student teaching
- A valid California Administrative Services Credential • Multicultural coursework*
- A valid Pupil Personnel Services Credential
- Master’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university • District Master Plan requirements*
- Candidates have one year to complete this requirement
