Veterinary Assistant

What We're Looking For: A Veterinary Assistant with a passion for community engagement and high quality animal care. Are you confident, skilled, and eager to make a real difference in the lives of pets and their people? If so, we want you to join our dynamic team!

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records, obtain health histories, document medical charts, communicate individualized pet health concerns, practice safe restraining techniques, ensure clean and sterile environments, administer medications (PO, SQ, IM, IV), fill prescriptions, educate clients on veterinary medicine, complete laboratory testing and diagnostic imaging, venipuncture including catheter placement, dental charting, support and guide team members, monitor patient conditions

What You Need to Succeed:

• 2 years of experience
• A great work ethic and collaborative mindset
• Full-time and Saturday availability
• Skills listed below are preferred!!
  • anesthesia monitoring
  • dental cleanings under anesthesia with Veterinarian supervision
  • complex dental extractions involving canines, premolars, and molars, including the use of drilling
  • dental radiographs
  • dental charting
  • dental nerve blocks
  • suturing
  • intubation & extubation
