The Executive Assistant to the Director is a key member of Building and Development's senior leadership team. This position is primarily responsible for administrative support to the Department Director but will also play an important role in Department-wide efforts to better serve the citizens of Loudoun County.
The successful candidate:
· Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills to help manage the Director's electronic communications, databases and spreadsheets and aid in document production.
· Must demonstrate the ability to maintain confidentiality of personnel and other sensitive information.
· Must have strong organizational skills to aid with scheduling meetings, appointments, travel arrangements and general task and calendar management.
· Maintain Departmentwide forms, policies, records and other documents and provide support to developing and maintaining departmentwide metrics.
· Must be able to assist or even lead, special projects such as coordinating FOIA work, payroll operations, policy development, HR activities, including recruiting, onboarding and records retention.
· Must be able to provide project support such as conducting research, creating presentations, procurement/purchasing, as well as tracking project deadlines and milestones.
· Must bring a robust customer service ethos to the position.

- Payroll This position requires a valid driver’s license, DMV, credit, and criminal background checks. The selected candidate must have or be able to obtain a a Notary Public certificate within 30 days of hire.

Hiring salary is commensurate with experience.
High School diploma or equivalent; five (5) years of related clerical/administrative work experience with computer automated systems and office applications experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Preferred Qualification
