Position Summary
The Louisiana Cancer Prevention & Control Programs (LCP) is seeking a dynamic, collaborative, and experienced public health professional to serve as the Outreach and Community Partnerships Coordinator. LCP is comprised of programs and initiatives dedicated to reducing the burden of the following screenable cancers: breast, cervical, colorectal, and lung. This position is funded primarily by the Louisiana Breast & Cervical Cancer Program.
Under the general supervision of the LCP Assistant Director, this position will lead state-wide community outreach and partnership-building/engagement efforts for LCP. Key duties include but are not limited to: developing statewide outreach strategies; engaging multi-sector partners across the state in outreach efforts to identify community members (clients) and refer them to eligible cancer screening services; identifying and coordinating LCP outreach opportunities and events; supporting clinical partners in outreach and communication efforts; and coordinating and monitoring data systems to track clients from outreach referral to screening completion.
