What are the responsibilities and job description for the Postdoctoral Researcher position at Louisiana State University?
I'm still hiring potential postdoctoral scholars to join my lab at LSU! I'm seeking excited, motivated individuals to join my lab to quantify ecosystem co-benefits and economic value of wetland restoration projects in the Pacific Northwest, Louisiana, and beyond!
Responsibilities
- Quantify economic benefits of wetland and floodplain restoration considering flood risk reduction, carbon sequestration and social benefits.
- Lead stakeholder engagement meetings both in-person and virtually to solicit feedback on model scenarios.
- Mentor graduate students and provide lab leadership.
Qualifications
- Strong record of publications in high-quality journals
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interact with diverse groups of stakeholders
- Preferred, but not required: experience with flood risk and/or mechanistic flood models such as Delft3D/HEC-RAS, FEMA-FAST, HAZUS, etc.
