Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. In this role, you will work directly with children and individuals with autism and developmental disabilities, implementing behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Your primary goal will be to assist in improving the quality of life for our clients through effective behavior management strategies.
Duties
- Implement individualized treatment plans designed by the BCBA, focusing on enhancing social, communication, and daily living skills.
- Provide direct support to clients in various settings, including home, school, and community environments.
- Utilize behavior management techniques to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors.
- Collect and document data on client progress and behaviors accurately and consistently.
- Educate clients and their families about behavioral strategies and techniques to support development.
- Collaborate with team members to assess client needs and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient records and adhere to medical terminology standards.
Requirements
- Experience in behavioral health or related fields is preferred.
- Previous experience working with children or individuals with autism is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with medical records management and medical terminology is beneficial.
- Strong skills in patient care, behavior management, and assisting individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and families.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Must possess a valid RBT certification or be willing to obtain one prior to employment.
