Job description: The Phlebotomist II performs skilled venipuncture and capillary collection procedures on patients of all ages in a clinical or laboratory environment. This role requires a higher level of expertise, including the ability to handle more complex or difficult blood draws, train new staff, and ensure high standards of patient care and specimen integrity. The Phlebotomist II will assist with workflow coordination, specimen processing, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Job Requirements:
Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision. Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric. Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime. Must make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment. Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record, if applicable. Travel and flexible hours required to work multiple locations and required to cover at Patient Service Center/In-Office Phlebotomy locations with minimal notice. Capable of handling multiple priorities in a high-volume setting. Must demonstrate Superior Customer Focus; ability to communicate openly and transparently with peers, supervisors, and patients; ability to accelerate and embrace change; and knowledge of our business.
Training locations may vary based on trainer availability.
Required Education:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Medical Training: Medical Assistant or Paramedic Training preferred.
- Phlebotomy Certification preferred.
Experience:
- Three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections, is required.
- A minimum of 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment they are preferred.
- Customer service in a retail or service environment is preferred—keyboard/data entry experience.

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
