- Job Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide support and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities. As a Caregiver, you will play a crucial role in helping individuals lead fulfilling lives by promoting their independence and well-being.
- Duties:
- Provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities, including those on the autism spectrum
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors
- Support individuals in participating in community activities and social interactions
- Document and maintain accurate records of care provided
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Requirements:
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is preferred
- Ability to lift and assist with transfers as needed
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies
- Familiarity with ADLs and providing personal care assistance
- Previous experience in childcare or related field is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team setting
