- Lovelace Women's Hospital is a 53-bed advanced neonatal intensive care unit, family care unit, an award-winning breast care center and the first robotic surgery program in the state recognized as a Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery by Surgical Review Corporation.
Responsibilities
Responsible for applying professional clinical skills and expertise to the care and management of breastfeeding infants and lactating mothers. Responsible for the development, promotion and implementation of lactation support services to clinical staff, patients and community members. Adheres to policies, procedures and regulations to ensure patient safety and compliance.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- Minimum: Associate's Degree or Diploma of Nursing
- One (1) year of training and program development experience
- Valid NM Nursing license or NM compact license (within 90 days of hire)
- Training: Intensified training in lactation
- CPR, Current BLS; NRP
- Current IBCLC or IBCLC Exam scheduled within one (1) year from date of hire
Preferred Job Requirements:
- Desired: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
