What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Screed Paving Operator/Laborer position at Loveland Excavating & Paving?
Schedule: 45-50 hours per week, Mon-Fri, occasional Saturdays
Work Location: Multiple locations - Southwest OH & Northern Kentucky

Job Summary:
This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Duties associated with Asphalt paving and patching; Commercial, Industrial and Residential experience.
Responsibilities:
- Work in conjunction with the Paving Operator operating the Screed.
- Assist with raking and shoveling and grading operations.
- Perform manual labor tasks such as digging trenches, moving materials, and assisting with project completion.
- May be called upon to run small power tools.
- Signal operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment and movement of materials.
- Assist in the placement, moving and dismantling of signs, barricades, cones and other traffic control devices.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor for extended periods.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively
- Dependable with reliable transportation.
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- CDL A license is a plus, but not required.
Safety
- Promote, execute, and adhere to the company’s safety program.
- Attend daily safety meetings and inspections.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years' experience in the Asphalt industry
Working Conditions
- Overtime as required.
- Work is performed in an outdoor setting, which could include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.
- Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 lbs. regularly.
- Use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) is required.
- Use of sunscreen, long sleeves, and appropriate headgear is recommended.
- Must comply with the company’s drug and alcohol testing requirements.
