Spa Massage Therapist

Job summary: 

Seeking an experienced therapist to perform Massages and Body Treatments for guests at the Cinzia Spa.

Summary of essential job functions: 

• Perform massage and body treatment for our guests
• Describe and explain treatment procedure to guest prior to providing service
• Exceptional understanding of spa services, spa packages and spa products 
• Perform all treatments in a consistent manner and according to our protocol
• Ability to market special promotions and our spa product line to guests
• Greet and welcome guests in a warm and professional manner  
• Provide a quick tour to all new guests of the spa facility
• Escort guests to and from meditation lounge, locker facilities and outdoor garden sanctuary   
• Maintain general cleanliness and organization of individual treatment rooms
• Restock treatment room at completion of shift  
• Perform other functions related to the spa as needed

Abilities/Skills required:

• Excellent communication skills in the English language.
• Must be motivated, well organized and with excellent time management skills
• Must work in a safe, prudent and organized manner
• Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays

Education and Experience:

• High school graduate or equivalent vocational training certificate.
• Current South Carolina Massage Therapist License
• At least 1year experience in a luxury spa, preferably within a luxury hotel

Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.  Must be able to stand for long periods of time (average 8 hour shifts). Must be able to sit, stand crouch, stoop and kneel when assisting guests with their needs.  While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to listen and communicate with guest. The employee will often be required to use hands and fingers to perform the massage therapy. Good visual and sensory skills required.
