Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, social skills, and creativity
- Support children with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and hygiene practices in accordance with safety standards
- Create a safe and welcoming classroom environment by maintaining cleanliness, organization, and classroom management protocols
- Engage children in play-based learning activities that stimulate curiosity and encourage exploration
- Monitor children's behavior and provide positive guidance to foster respectful interactions and emotional regulation
- Collaborate with team members to plan educational activities tailored to various developmental stages, including infant care, toddler care, and preschool age groups
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, needs, and daily experiences
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or related settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required or willing to obtain upon hiring
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to handle diverse behaviors positively
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining a caring attitude
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules or classroom needs
