Job Summary

The Clinical Director is a leadership role responsible for all clinical programming and services delivered within their assigned program.  

 

Responsibilities

  1. Oversee and supervise all program staff
  2. Responsible for the oversight and monitoring of clinical services provided within the program.
  3. Responsible for maintaining current DPH Licensing criteria and adherence to the agency’s internal best practices, policies and procedures, and quality standards.
  4. Responsible for oversight and management of program referrals, waitlists, and intakes.  
  5. Acts as liaison between Lowell House and all outside agencies 
  6. Facilitates clinical team meetings
  7. Responsible for the oversight and implementation of the weekly Activity/Group schedule; delegation of staff to facilitate and carry through the approved curriculum.
  8. Follow evidenced-based treatment protocols.
  9. Engages all clients by understanding and addressing their needs, whether within or outside the scope of work.
  10. Attend all required agency-wide meetings and training and completes assigned training by their due dates
  11. Maintain confidentiality of client, employee, and agency information in accordance with federal and state laws and funder requirements.\
  12. Responsible for the program and clients’ safety, ability to respond to emergencies at any time.
  13. On-call responsibilities, including being available to respond to crises and emergencies during off-hours
  14. Other duties as assigned.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities

  1. Direct reports of this position are the Program Manager, case manager/counselors, medical staff.
  2. 2.                  Indirect reports of this position (collaboration with Program Manager) are Recovery Specialists and Interns.

Competencies

  1. Excellent organizational, training, and time management skills
  2. Strong verbal & written communication skills
  3. Working knowledge of MS Word & Excel and Electronic Health Records.

 

Required education and experience

  1. Master’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, Counseling, Psychology, Human Services, or Public Health.
  2. Five years of clinical experience working with the substance abuse population
  3. Current CPR

 

Preferred Education and experience

  1. License: LICSW, LMHC, LADCI, LMFT
