What are the responsibilities and job description for the National Account Manager position at Lowes?
Job Summary:
The purpose of this role is to prospect and grow existing partnerships with national organizations, major government, insurance, financial institutions, and other SIC groups to achieve sales plan. This is accomplished through developing short- and long-term sales strategies, negotiating and executing contracts, utilizing multiple sales channels, and implementing rebate programs. Additionally, the National Account Manager works closely with the ProSales team (Regional ProSales Directors, ProSales Managers, and ProSales Desk team) to drive profitable sales through the Pro customer.
Key Responsibilities:
• Acts as a single point of contact for Pro customers, to address gaps in the partnership (i.e., service, product availability, marketing, etc.) and develop solutions in partnership with the Regional ProSales Directors, ProSales Managers, and ProSales desk.
• Leads the development of short and long term sales strategies to drive profitable sales of their respective portfolio.
• Educates the Pro Sales team on the execution of sales strategies, marketing initiatives, and contracts.
• Utilizes industry and customer data to identify potential new customers, develop business proposals, and sales strategies.
• Develops product opportunities and solutions that have a national impact for Pro customers resulting in bulk purchase agreements.
• Monitors growth of sales portfolio, adjusting as necessary to continue to drive profitable sales and increase market share.
• Works closely with the leadership and Legal team to develop contracts and sales structures that are mutually beneficial for Lowe’s and the Pro customer.
• Provides recommendations to leadership on promotional opportunities based on market, industry, and customer data.
Required Qualifications:
• High school diploma
• 5-7 years’ experience directing customer sales
• 5-7 years’ experience in sales and accounts management
• 5-7 years’ experience with P/L
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
