Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Associate Director of Admission for Arrupe College, this position serves as an admission representative coordinating recruitment and outreach initiatives for the college. Outreach initiatives are in support of students/programs within the Chicago metropolitan area and beyond as well as work with special visit groups.
- Supervises and manages student ambassadors to implement creative recruitment initiatives.
- Informs prospective students and their families of the educational opportunities available at Arrupe College. Manages assigned recruitment territory along with daily communications with prospective students and families.
- Represents Arrupe at various community programs, college fairs, and high school visit days.
- Builds effective relationships with high school counseling staff and community-based organization members.
- Manages assigned partnerships with feeder high schools and community based organizations to increase enrollment.
- Works closely in partnership with on-campus offices including the Financial Aid Office, the Office of Student Services, and the Office of Academic Affairs.
- Makes timely admission decisions on applicants to Arrupe.
- Participates in recruitment, yield and orientation events hosted by Arrupe.
- Develops and executes programming for yield events such as Arrupe Night.
- Performs other duties as required.
Minimum Education and/or Work Experience
Bachelor’s degree in related field and three-five years of related admissions experience.

Bachelor’s degree in related field and three-five years of related admissions experience.
- Experience in recruitment, admissions and student advising is required
- Excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Ability to form effective working relationships
- Presentation, word processing and spreadsheet software
- Ability to articulate the values and mission of a Jesuit institution
- Team player who has the ability to adapt to a dynamic environment.
- Bi/Multilingual is beneficial but not required
- Ability to work independently with little supervision
- Ability to travel
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
Certificates/Credentials/Licenses
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Computer Skills
- Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software (MS Office Suite).
- Ability to learn and effectively use Slate by Technolutions, Docfinity and PeopleSoft.
