Job Overview:

The AVP, Technology Project Manager is responsible for providing program management support to project teams.

This role supports the following EPMO service offerings:

  • Project Epics Management

  • Quality Management

  • Reporting

  • Benefits Management

  • Governance of processes, standards, etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage technology team project and maintenance activities from initiation to production support

  • Work collaboratively with Development teams, QE, Release Management and Infrastructure teams to resolve technical requirements

  • Communicate and collaborate with business units on project and maintenance efforts

  • Create, manage and track project documentation including detailed project plans, budget, resource plans, status reports, and risks/issues

  • Provide regular written and verbal communication to technology lead, program manager, and portfolio lead (where applicable) throughout the lifecycle of the project

  • Communicate issues & risks and help drive key decisions; help resolve project-related issues

  • Manage the day-to-day activities of projects and staff to ensure project deliverables are on schedule and within scope & budget

  • Support SDLC and PDLC processes and manages project documentation

What are we looking for?

Requirements:

  • 4 year college degree, preferably in Project Management or Computer Science

  • 4 years of experience managing highly complex and matrixed IT programs budgets up to $3M

  • Deep understanding of and ability to manage Project and Software Development Life Cycle(s) using either Agile or Waterfall methodologies

  • Agile or PMP certification

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Project or similar tools

  • Working knowledge of JIRA, Aha!, Confluence or similar tools

  • Outstanding attention to detail combined with the ability to see the big picture

  • Clear, effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a changing environment; proactive in seeking out information when necessary
