We are looking for a full time Site / Shift Supervisor to support our government customer in Washington, DC at the Smithsonian Zoo.
The ideal candidate will be hard-working, reliable, a team player and possess a great attitude.
Shift is Monday-Friday and MUST be available on weekends. Minimum of 2 years of housekeeping supervisory experience, which will consist of a minimum of 3 years of general housekeeping experience including at least 2 years of specific and verifiable hospital housekeeping supervisory experience.
Applicants must be US citizens and able to pass a government background check.
Key Responsibilities : Supervise work activities of janitorial personnel on site. establishments. Assign duties, inspect work, and investigate complaints regarding janitorial services and take corrective action.
May purchase janitorial supplies and equipment, take periodic inventories, screen applicants, train new employees, and recommend dismissals.
Physical Requirements : Must be able to sit, stand, reach, bend and stoop for extended periods of time; Ascending / Descending stairs and required to move equipment weighing up to 20 pounds frequently;
May be required to lift up to 30 lbs.
