The utility helper is responsible for material movement in the CCV tower and ensuring the manufacturing of a quality product as efficiently as possible. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the movement of compounds from the receiving area to the machine, assisting the operator & helper with operations of equipment.

- Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment.

The utility helper is responsible for material movement in the CCV tower and ensuring the manufacturing of a quality product as efficiently as possible. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the movement of compounds from the receiving area to the machine, assisting the operator & helper with operations of equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Load, unload, and store compound.
- Retrieve raw materials and assist in loading them as the process requires.
- Movement of materials using elevator and material movement equipment.
- Off load on appropriate floor
- Pull compound by checking approved batch list and follow procedures as indicated.
- Assist in maintaining a clean work area (general housekeeping).
- Perform other duties as directed by Supervisor.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Read, write, perform mathematical calculations, understand verbal or written instructions, provide verbal or written information to others, work continuous shift if requested, work scheduled or unscheduled overtime if requested, maintain a good attendance and punctuality record, follow all safety rules and maintain housekeeping in area of responsibility, work well with others, and distinguish colors correctly.
- Must be able to move about freely in a heavy industrial environment.
- Must be able to move raw material utilizing elevator, moving material in and out of elevator safely.
- Must be able to qualify as a lift operator.
- This position requires standing and walking for most of the shift. This position requires lifting, bending, pushing and pulling. Some pushing of reels will be necessary. Most lifting is accomplished with material handling devices, i.e. elevator, hoists, etc.
- Must be able to maintain work area as a clean room environment
COMPUTER EQUIPMENT AND SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS:
- OJT - Will use company systems – PRT and/or MX Open
