What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Operations Specialist position at LUCA?

What you’ll do:
- Provide exceptional account management services for our diversified portfolio of clients, including:
- handle bank reconciliations and transaction processing
- manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- prepare and file business license applications and renewals
- manage payroll, new employees, and terminated employees
- prepare financial reports for review and exception handling
- coordinate with clients on information requests
- Work on special tasks and projects that will undoubtedly arise each week, including onboarding new clients and attending client meetings in a support role
- Troubleshoot service-related problems, adapt to the needs of our clients, and recommend specialized solutions
- As you become familiar with the needs of our clients, provide feedback to the team on what is working well and what improvements can be made
- Build relationships with our clients and with us! We have personalities, really!
What we’re looking for:
- 2-5 years bookkeeping/accounting experience preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business or completion of a certified bookkeeping course preferred (tax experience is a major plus)
- Someone with exceptional attention to and love of detail and all things organized
- Someone with cloud-based accounting experience (e.g.,Quickbooks, Xero, Netsuite, Intacct, Accounting Seed)
- Someone with a willingness to form relationships and communicate with our growing client base
- Someone who is excited to grow with our start-up and is understanding of, and adaptable to, the entrepreneurial expressway
