Position Overview: The Controller is primarily responsible for overseeing accounting, financial, and strategic initiatives to improve the health of our company.
Reports To: Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Description of Responsibilities:
• Assists in the development and implementation of the company strategic plan.
• Assist department managers with sales reporting and P&L forecasting
• Weekly performance analysis of departments
• P&L for all Install and construction department jobs, Monitor & analyze job profitability, project auditing
• Support managers to obtain daily and weekly analytics
• Weekly expense reports and maintains controls of receipts and disbursements
• General bookkeeping tasks, reconciliation of general ledger and month-end Journal Entries
• Lead department managers in developing and managing the budget process
• Annual / monthly budgets
• Supervises AP, AR, Payroll, Purchasing
• Oversees the maintenance and updating of all personnel records and reports.
• Assist Accounts Payable and the transactional processing of payment for any credit cards, expense reimbursements, and related items including purchase orders
• Identify process improvements, eliminate manual processes, develop and administer departmental policies and procedures
• Inventory implementation, maintaining and controlling inventory
• Review financial performance against goals and assist management in improving performance by providing productivity measures
• On-going focus and attention to cost reduction
• Analyzing costs and margins, analysis of labor expenses and fix cost deviations and definition of action plans to mitigate risk not to achieve the Budget
• Assist with ways to increase revenue
• Assist with forecasting capital, facilities and staff
• Analysis of capital structure (various debt financing)
• Projects cash flow needs and prepares cash flow budgets.
• Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Coordinates with company CPA to prepare financials and taxes at year end.
• Oversee group insurance, workers compensation program, and general liability insurance
• Coordinates with bank regarding all bank matters (line of credit, financing of vehicles and equipment, credit card processing, payroll processing, etc.).
• Oversee office payroll and field staff payroll
• Hires, fires, trains, evaluates, and supervises all staff under his/her supervision
• Assist with Acquisition opportunities and integration
• Assist with Leadership training & personal development
• As necessary, design and enhance internal administrative control procedures and oversee their implementation
• Meets weekly with COO and keeps informed and current regarding all pertinent details in his/her department.
• Special projects as determined by COO/CEO
• Analysis of strategic opportunities including service line expansion through mergers and acquisitions (M&A), partnership collaborations, and continued operational growth.
• Work directly with leadership to help drive deals from sourcing thru the due-diligence process to completing acquisitions
• Track progress and assist with action items related to due-diligence process and integration
• Prepare and analyze financial models for potential acquisitions and growth opportunities and provide input on potential enhancements to structure
• Analyze financial viability of potential acquisitions (including ROI analysis)
• Reconcile potential acquisition accounts with QuickBooks files
• Monitor financial performance of acquired companies/ accounts and prepare reports against budget
Who You Are (Qualifications and Skills)
Must have:
• 3-5 years of previous business Controller experience required
• Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance
• Hands-on with strong accounting and organizational skills
• Attention to detail and good communication skills
• Proficient in QuickBooks & Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

Salary : $90,000 - $110,000
