We are currently seeking a Senior Dimensional Engineer. This position requires an experienced professional who excels at 3DCS Dimensional Analysis. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their field, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.
\n- · Develop rigid and compliant dimension models in 3DCS
- · Define preliminary dimensional control plan including datums, drawing requirements, and measurement point routine for KPC part quality definition
- · Work closely with design and manufacturing engineers to develop, validate and incorporate total vehicle Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) requirements
- · Test, optimize and validate GD&T for parts and assemblies to meet or exceed gap and flush targets
- · Recommend best gauging methods and perform data analysis to identify special and common cause problems in collaboration with the design engineers
- · Work with cross-functional teams to recommend and evaluate and make design and process improvement proposals
- · Assist in the development and rollout of training to Design engineers whenever required
- You Bring
- · 5 years of experience in Dimensional engineering or related area
- · Background in Dimensional Engineering of assemblies for mass production
- · A proven track record of excellence in dimensional analysis and tolerance stacks using 3DCS
- · A deep understanding of design, development, manufacturing processes, and assembly operations in the automotive or related field
- · Working knowledge of SPC systems and root cause analysis
- · Understanding of GD&T, Inspection Methods, Measurement Systems
- · Understanding of Statistical Process Capability, Root Cause Analysis, and Problem-Solving Techniques
- · Demonstrate previous cross-functional collaboration to solve problems
- Advantageous:
- · Hands-on experience with 3DCS add-on module for Catia V5/V6
- · Experience with QDM or similar SPC quality system
- · Experience with Class A surface data, body structures, castings, the extrusion process, stampings and all their advantages and limitations
- · PPAP & APQP experience
- Education Requirements:
- · Bachelor’s Degree in a related engineering discipline
Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
· California (Bay Area) - $115,000-165,000
Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.
