JOB SUMMARY:
This position serves as a HR liaison to leaders and associates in the organization by providing proactive support of associate relations issue resolution, performance management /coaching opportunities and supporting the staffing and recruiting needs of the company. The associate relations responsibilities will be accomplished by identifying employment issues, facilitating discussions, conducting investigations, providing accurate and timely HR information and collaborating/ consulting with management to address root causes and work toward problem-resolution. The recruiting responsibilities include active souring, interviewing new hire paperwork and testing, along with partnering with the hiring manager to ensure an orientation plan is in place. This position requires the ability to work independently, build strong working relationships, demonstrate a high-level of integrity, and establish a proactive approach to customer service. This position is expected to model behaviors that are in alignment with our Mission, Shared Services Vision and Values.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
60% of job: Supports associates and managers in various employee relations issues by identifying issues, researching the situation, soliciting resources as needed and partnering to resolve the issue.
30% of job: Supports hiring managers in the sourcing, screening, phone interviewing, administrative duties when hiring new associates. This also includes scheduling, and if necessary, administering pre and post offer testing.
10% of job: Contributes as needed on various department or business unit initiatives.
5% of job: Assists in the development and implementation of human resources policies and procedures.
5% of job: Responsible for investigations into any employee relations issues/concerns of a policy/legal matters including, but not limited to, sexual harassment, discrimination, etc.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor's degree
Required Licenses & Certifications: PHR or SPHR preferred.
Work Experience: 5 years HR experience in a similar role and Employment/Labor Law experience, Manufacturing environment a plus.
