Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and in many cases, the last person they see before they leave. This means ensuring an exceptional dining experience is your top priority. You will manage reservations, greet guests, and assist on the floor with clearing and setting tables while maintaining effective communication with the restaurant staff.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to minimize wait times.
- Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area, including the host station.
- Assist in managing guest flow during peak hours to ensure smooth operations.
- Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff regarding guest needs and special requests.
- Handle phone inquiries with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant and taking reservations as needed.
- Support the serving team during busy periods as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Host or in a similar role within the food service or hospitality industry is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with good phone etiquette.
- Familiarity with systems such as Toast or Resy is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and willingness to collaborate with team members.
