A day in the life
In this role, you will:
- Develop solutions and integrations for payments and financial transaction processing, online order capture and export, inventory management, pricing and promotions management and account, profile and guest purchase preferences using Oracle ATG
- Co-create end-to-end solution designs and Technology Roadmaps in collaboration with Business partners and IT leadership that supports the digital ecommerce business Support business and digital teams to develop business case/KPIs and high-level options/cross domain impacts and provide inputs into Steering committee discussions. Support solution alignment to Architecture Policies, Principles, and Standards with oversight into solution architecture for the projects/initiatives.
- Accountable to manage the portfolio (application lifecycles and investment disposition in co-ordination with technology managers) for applications scoped to the commerce domain and integrated with ATG.
- Document and communicate the risks and assumptions based on proposed solution options. Assess architectural significance of initiatives and triage/setup Architecture Review Board meetings as needed.
- Partner with other Principal Architects, Technology Directors and Divisional Executives to define and describe the most important architecture and engineering capabilities under management.
- Support program delivery by setting solution development priorities for Solution Architects, Lead Engineers, Lead Business Analysts and Technology Manager Research and summarize industry trends and practices; presents recommendations based on findings.
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Science, Information Systems, or related field, plus 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the IT industry.
- Ability to travel (10%) within the US
- Develop and integrate e-commerce solution designs and strategies with Oracle ATG Commerce;
- Design implementation, customization and integrations plans for contact and service center capabilities using Oracle Commerce Service Center;
- Design implementation, customization and integrations plans for search and content management capabilities using Endeca Experience Manager;
- Design and document SOAP, WSDL and RESTful integration services that are implemented in the Java programming language and leverage J2EE services, APIs and protocols; and
- Design integrations and system architectures that use web servers such as WebLogic, JBoss, and WebSphere -Designs database integration solutions leveraging Oracle Database and the object-relational mapping tool Hibernate.
