About the role:
We are looking for our first IT Specialist with a focus on driving and ensuring security initiatives by parenting closely with our Software and Security Teams. In this role you’ll serve as one of the primary points of contact for all things IT, installation, integration, maintenance, troubleshooting.
\n- Troubleshoot and effectively work with technical and non-technical end-users to resolve software and hardware issues.
- Provision and deprovision employee computers (Mac, Windows and Linux)
- Maintain our software installation, patch management, and security programs using Rippling, Vanta, SentinelOne and more.
- Serve as Tier 1 and Tier 2 IT help support for all Lumafield Employees and Offices
- Develop and maintain documentation for security processes and procedures.
- Manage Neat products and presentation equipment to resolve AV and conference room issues.
- Partner with a variety of vendors and install, configure, and troubleshoot software applications as needed.
- Understand networking fundamentals and troubleshoot core networking issues (switching, routing, and WiFI access points)
- Work from our Cambridge, MA HQ 5 days per week with regular helpdesk hours.
- 2-5 years of professional IT experience providing tier 1 and/or tier 2 support.
- Experience in Powershell and Bash, must be comfortable in a terminal environment.
- Strong knowledge of software installation, security, configuration and troubleshooting.
- Track record of continuously learning and staying up to date with new technologies.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing changing priorities and tight deadlines.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical end-users.
- Self-starter that can operate independently and collaboratively with Software in Security Teams in Boston and San Francisco.
- Experience working with Mac, Linux, G-Suite,Slack, NEAT, and Zoom.
- Troubleshooting with Linux (mainly Ubuntu but any distribution is a bonus, bonus)
- Familiarity with security tools and asset management tools (Rippling, Vanta and SentinelOne)
- Familiarity with AWS
