What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler position at Lundberg Family Farms?
As a Material Handler (internal department title Production Control Technician) in our Mill you will be tasked with forklift operation, inventory management and, when needed, assist on the packing line.
Responsibilities include:
- Transport via forklift, to and from mill, all finished Product and Supplies for packaging.
- Electronically transfer all materials to and from the mill to maintain accurate inventory in NAV.

Work on the packing lines to ensure correct packaging is taking place
- Place finished product in appropriately marked boxes.
- Stack finished product on pallet(s).
- Ensure that code dates are on clips and boxes..
- Maintain clean and organized packaging material storage area.
Work area is in an outside environment with high temperature changes and high noise. Position involves exposure to odors, dust, mosquitoes, and any other variables in the outside environment.
Approximately 50% of the time is spent standing and the remainder is spent driving the forklift to and from designated area, moving around product, and using a computer.
- Forklift experience.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
- Basic computer skills; ability to learn quickly on NAV.
- Excellent organizational skills.
