Part-Time Position

Minimum Qualifications:

• BA Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
• 5-7 years of accounting experience, preferably with audit background
• Strong knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards
• Proficiency in preparing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and audit-ready rollforward schedules
• Ability to analyze complex account activity and identify discrepancies or needed adjustments
• Experience supporting year-end close processes and external financial statement audits
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Blackbaud Financial Edge, QuickBooks, or similar) and advanced Excel skills
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies as needed
• Prepare and maintain audit schedules and roll forward workpapers for key accounts
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, including accruals and adjustments
• Support external audit requests by gathering documentation and responding to inquiries
• Collaborate with accounting team to identify and resolve backlog issues from prior period
• Ensure all financial activities are in compliance with GAAP and internal policies
• Document processes and contribute to improvements in accounting procedures
