Our Services for People with Disabilities team is searching for dedicated, compassionate hourly part-time (10-23 hours/week, 24-29 hours/week and/or 30 hours/week) Caseworkers in the Dubuque area. The Iowans we serve are seeking a life of greater confidence and independence, and it's our privilege to empower them toward success every day.
Flexible hours! Looking for daytime and after school hours. No weekends! Primary hours are between 3:00 to 7:00 PM. Will typically work with adults in the daytime and children after school hours for 2 to 3 hour one on one sessions. Can build in hours as caseload is built, and if desired.
Duties
An hourly Caseworker works with individuals with intellectual disabilities or chronic mental illness. Our Caseworkers are there to provide support, assistance, and instruction in learning independent living skills like:
- Money management
- Socialization
- Cooking
- Personal hygiene
It's important that the individuals we work with are encouraged to be involved in their community. Our Caseworkers should know the basics of outcome-based performance measures, and develop Individualized Service Plans that are functional and reflective of the personal goals each of our individuals have.
An hourly Caregiver primarily works with individuals in a mix of evening and day hours, mostly Monday through Friday. The person in this role should be willing and able to work occasional weekend hours, as needed. This role also has the potential to grow as more hours become available, and if desired.

Qualifications
Qualified candidates for this job will have ONE of the following:
- a Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS in human services, education, or human services related field. One year of related experience is preferred.
OR
- Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in Non- human services and 1 year of human services related experience.
OR
- AA Degree with 2 years of human services experience.
OR
- High school diploma/GED with 4 years of human services experience.
This position requires a valid driver's license, auto insurance, a good driving record, and the ability to pass an extensive background check, including checks of the Dependent Adult and Child Abuse registries, the Sex Offender registry, and the criminal history check.
