We manufacture products for the copper alloy wire industry and have many customers including ones in the battery, ammunition, solar panel, and electronic markets, among others. Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts. Reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy.
  • Conduct accounts receivable related research and perform accounts receivable collection duties to maximize company cash flow.
  • Analyzes new customers to help establish credit limits and credit insurance.
  • Prepare sales/use tax returns or filings
  • Assist the Controller in the performance of special projects
  • Assist IT in developing and tracking new processes
  • Performs weekly cash plan according to Luvata headquarters standards.
  • Coordinate and analyze year-end physical inventory
  • Prepare various spreadsheets.
  • Assists, when needed, in Accountant’s duties (e.g. hedging and corporate reporting).
  • Prepare credit reference relating to and for customers.
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Requires education generally equivalent to a Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
  • Requires 1 years of related experience in general accounting, with exposure to financial statement preparation, collections, fixed assets, and cost accounting desirable.
  • Ability to operate a variety of office equipment and programs including Microsoft Office.
  • Requires the ability to pay considerable attention to accounting details and accomplish tasks under deadline pressure.

This role is posted as part-time and the candidate will need to be flexible with schedule.
