Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel is a AAA Four Diamond hotel! We are the ONLY AAA Four Diamond hotel in our competitive set and the only one near Brentwood and Bel-Air.  
The Luxe Sunset Blvd Hotel is currently looking to add a Part time Bartender to our team. When you join the Luxe family, you are joining a world of possibility!

Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel is a stunning property at the crossroads of Brentwood and Bel-Air. Located within minutes of UCLA, the Getty Museum, and Skirball Cultural Center, our convenient location makes it easy to access the best of LA.

Accountable To: Food & Beverage Outlets Manager
Status: Non-Exempt | Part time | Temporarily
Rate: $20.32  (Employer est.)

Primary Objective:
Serve guests in a warm, accommodating, and professional manner ensuring a 100% guest satisfaction. Responsibly and intelligently serve guests as well as maintain an organized and efficient bar. Provide a consistent level of service that meets the standard of the hotel and exceeds the expectations of the guest.

Areas of Accountability:
  • Accommodate guests by making each individual feel welcome and addressing them by name, if known.
  • Be able to converse with guests about the menu and beverage lists in a detailed and professional manner.
  • Anticipate needs of the guest and exceed their expectation, while performing multiple duties at one time.
  • Be aware if guest is unhappy while he/she waits for the table – Notify Manager or front desk.
  • Act professional and accommodating and always maintain composure.
  • Identify and report problems to management immediately.
  • Have a detailed knowledge of the beverage served at the restaurant, especially the wine and spirits list.
  • Knowledgeable of food and wine pairings.
  • Know the taste, origin, vintage and characteristics of each beverage.
  • Have a general knowledge about wines and liquor.
  • Know which glasses are used for which drinks.
  • Pour all drinks for bar guests and from printed tickets for servers.
  • Serve drinks that come up on POS printer, maintaining consistence, accurate portions as set by management.
  • Do not dispense any drinks without a dupe.
  • Be fluent in use of POS system.
  • Serve food at bar as requested from the bar menu and in cocktail lounge.
  • Be familiar with sequence of service and position numbers.
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of food, especially the current menu and its ingredients.
  • Transfer all open tickets to appropriate table.
  • Be fully versed in technical and specific beverage knowledge.
  • At appropriate time, restock with liquor, ice, and soda.
  • Communicate with dining room staff and let them know if drinks or food were served.
  • Serve alcohol responsibly, do not serve a guest that appears intoxicated or underage (check ID).
  • Maintain a clean, organized work station at all times.
  • Assist with inventory of all alcohol and beverages as required for ordering and control.
  • Restock the bar before service.
  • Gather and prepare all mise and place in bar (i.e., lemons, olives, ice, etc.) before service.
  • Keep proper amounts of glassware, napkins, stirrers, etc. on hand at all times.
  • Keep track of amount of ice in station.
  • Use POS system and bar equipment properly.
  • Perform all side work duties and other tasks.
  • Adhere to accounting procedures for all transactions and assist servers with cash transactions.
  • Have an excellent knowledge of the restaurant’s operation.
  • Keeps supervisor fully informed of all problems or matters of significance.
  • Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
  • Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working environment.
  • Adheres to company policies and procedures.
    • Attends work as scheduled.
    • Follows hotel’s dress and grooming standards.
    • Follows Covid-19 guidelines
    • Minimizes safety hazards by following all safety rules and procedures.
  • At all times, projects a favorable image of Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel to the public.

  • Pushing/Pulling: Average weight 60lbs constantly
  • Lifting/Carrying: Average weight 60lbs constantly
  • Standing/Walking: Constantly. Standing/walking the majority of scheduled shift
  • Kneeling/Crawling: Occasionally. Completing tasks throughout the hotel
