Polisher Sheet Metal $19.00 to $22.00 DOE Luxfer Superform operates from Riverside, California (USA). We specialize in Superforming of Aluminum, Titanium, and Magnesium alloys as a 1st Tier supplier to major OEMs.
Established in 1974 Superform serves Customers in all the major markets including Aerospace. Position Purpose : Responsible for grinding, sanding, and polishing fabricated sheet metal items.
Uses hand tools, and power tools to ensure a smooth surface. Inspects for flaws or cracks. Essential Duties and Responsibilities : The main activities of the position include but are not limited to the following : Grind, sand, deburr, and polish objects.
Correct defects. Able to operate Buffer, hand sander, band saw, and drills. Prepare the surface for further finishing. Prepare all surfaces with a smooth finish to go out for process, like Anodize, primer, and topcoat.
Polish and grind materials according to specifications. Polish, Buff, and / or Deburr materials according to specification.
Trim and scrape objects. Trim, drill, sand, and rack parts for the next operations. Clean equipment and worktables. Clean as you go.
Keep a clean work area. Load or remove work pieces from worktables. Keep the workbench free of any parts at the end of your shift.
Maintain or repair equipment as needed . Other duties as assigned. Education and Experience : High School Diploma or Equivalent required Minimum of one (1) year experience.
Preferably in an automotive or manufacturing aerospace environment. A self-motivated individual with the ability to take directions, then schedule and follow through with daily tasks and assignments.
A team player that can work effectively with all personnel, as well as be able to carry a heavy workload. Requirements : Must be able to occasionally lift product up to 50lbs.
and frequently stand for extended periods of time. Ability to read Pi-Tape, Calipers, Depth Gauge, and a weight scale. Ability to read drawings (B / P) and Shop Travelers.
Ability to use Calipers, depth gage, micrometer, and height gage. Must be able to work overtime as needed.
