The Lycée Français de San Francisco is currently seeking qualified applicants for a Student Support Assistant
Position at our Middle and High School Ortega Campus for Academic year 2025-2026. We are looking for a
candidate that shares our values and commitment to our students and community.
The Lycée Français de San Francisco is a French Immersion College Preparatory School in the San Francisco
Bay Area. We provide a challenging educational environment based on the French national curriculum, enriched
by English classes from PS-12th grade. Our curriculum is designed to provide students with a well-structured,
well-assimilated body of general knowledge while encouraging the development of analytical and critical thinking
skills. Our students earn an American high school diploma while preparing for success in the French
Baccalauréat, which ultimately qualifies them for admission to American and European Universities.
Lycée General School Duties and Responsibilities:
- Abide by all Lycée safety protocols
- Treat all students, parents, and colleagues with dignity and respect
- Attend all staff meetings, in-service meetings, and training sessions
- Welcome students in the morning,
- Supervise students during lunch and after school (lunch rooms, courtyard, hallways...),
- Supervise classes when teachers are absent or during free periods,
- Help the students with their school work in cooperation with the teachers,
- Control that students take their respective buses,
- Monitoring attendance and tardiness of students,
- Maintain security and order,
- Implement mediation proceedings (listen to the students, help resolve conflicts, assist the students in
- Report incidents,
- Make sure students keep the common areas clean (lobby, hallways, locker areas, student
- Take part in the school life by being involved in its bodies (student council, internal rule committee,
- Handle the replacement sheet,
- Other duties considered applicable to the Student Services’ office may be added.

Qualifications:
- Bilingual English/French Preferred
- Effective in communicating with parents and children
- Ability to work well within a team and independently
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate and solve problems in a timely manner
- Personable, and understanding, dependability and reliability
- Able to sit or stand for extended periods
- Able to lift supplies and materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
Start Date: August 18th 2025
Status: Full-Time, 31 hours per week, Non-Exempt, reports to the Dean of Student Experience
Location: Ortega Campus, San Francisco
Candidates with 1 to 3 years related experience in the education field can anticipate a yearly salary, ranging from:
$ 62,600 to $ 64,365 for 31 hours per week (based on Salary Grid 2024/2025). The salary offered to the successful
candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of
experience in the job, type and years of experience in the industry, education, etc. LFSF offers a negotiated salary
range.
