About This Role
This entry level position develops and coordinates with Manufacturing the strategies and plans that improve productivity. Under Management supervision, implements practices to reduce operating expenses, reduce work in progress, and increase production.
Job Responsibilities:
Design and Development :
Develop software tools and applications to optimize manufacturing processes.Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to identify inefficiencies and provide software-driven solutions.
Integration :
Create systems and tools that integrate manufacturing equipment with enterprise resource planning (ERP) or manufacturing execution systems (MES).Work with technologies like PLC programming (Programmable Logic Controllers) for automation.
Data Analysis and Monitoring :
Develop tools for real-time data collection and analysis.Work on predictive maintenance and performance monitoring systems.
Problem-Solving :
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve bottlenecks and improve process efficiency.
Qualifications
Pursuing a Bachelors and/or Masters Degree in :
Software Development/Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Data Analytics
Software Programming Skills :
Proficiency in languages like Python, C , JavaScript, or C#.Familiarity with industrial standard programming tools (e.g., Power Bi, MATLAB, LabVIEW, PLC programming languages, PlantSim).
Industrial Engineering Expertise :
Knowledge in process optimization, lean manufacturing, or Six Sigma.Familiarity with systems thinking and methods for improving production workflows.
Industry Tools :
Familiarity with CAD (Computer-Aided Design)Knowledge of automation technologies like IoT (Internet of Things), robotics, or SCADA systems.
Soft Skills :
Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.Strong communication and teamwork abilities to align with manufacturing and engineering teams.
