Bus Driver Trainee GENERAL INFORMATION Title: Bus Driver Trainee Department: Transportation Salary Grade: $14.25 an hour

FLSA Status: Non-exempt Site/Location: Transportation Reports to: Director of Transportation Date: 12/2/2024 POSITION SUMMARY

• Safely operate an assigned school bus for transporting students from home to school and/or to and from school-related events.
  
  

Essential Functions

• Cooperates with school officials to provide safe and efficient transportation for students.
• Maintains an assigned schedule on a specific route and consults with the supervisor or dispatcher regarding suggested changes.
• Maintains acceptable standards of conduct and dress.
• Maintains courteous, professional, and effective working relationships with parents, students, school staff, school officials, and all levels of employees.
• Works the days and hours necessary to perform all assigned responsibilities and tasks.
• Performs related duties as necessary and as assigned by the supervisor for transportation.

Education And Experience

• The candidate must be eighteen (18) years of age, at the minimum.
