What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mascot performer position at Lynchburg Hillcats?
The Lynchbug Hillcats, Single-A Affiliate of the Cleveland Guardians, are currently accepting applications for our Mascot Performer game day position for the 2023 Season.
The ideal Mascot Performer would be an energetic and enthusiastic individual with a passion for creating fun memories at the ballpark while keeping updated with current trends.
Our season runs from mid-April until the beginning of September during
which we play 132 games (66 home games, 66 away games) in the Low-A East League.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Maintain the integrity of the Mascot
- Perform at Lynchburg Hillcats Home Games
- Sign autographs and take pictures with fans
- Working as a team with our staff to provide mid-inning entertainment for our fans
- Walk around the ballpark interacting with fans and clients
- Fill in for mascot appearances for non game day events
- Other responsibilities as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Flexible Scheduling, including the ability to work Nights, Weekends, and Holidays (including July 4th)
- Moderate athletic fitness
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 pounds
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
- Must be able to perform in restrictive outfits and impaired vision
- Ideal height for mascot performer would be 5’7-6’3
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Knowledge of trending dance moves a plus
- Prior Mascot Experience a plus but not required PAY RANGE :
- $12 / HR
