Position Purpose
The fundamental purpose for this position is to perform an inside sales function for the company. Reporting to the General Manager, this position will be responsible for building a relationship and communicating with customers regarding the ordering process, returns, special quotations, etc.
Essential Functions
- Communicate with customers regarding orders/returns; establishing terms, pricing, appropriate products for the application.
- Promote product sales through proactive customer contact.
- Perform basic marketing activities such as sharing special offers, facilitating usage of website, etc.
- Process orders in the company information systems.
- Serve as the key contact between the company and its customers.
- Assisting Service and Accounting department with their customer contacts when needed.
Requirements
- 5 years of sales or customer service experience, 2 years of which include experience with computer information systems. Other combinations of experience and education that meet minimum requirements may be substituted.
- Communication, sales, and customer service skills.
- Excel spreadsheet/PC/Email basic functions.
- Common business practices relating to the purchase, pricing, terms, shipment, taxes, and payment for products and services.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with both written and oral methods such as email, phone calls, trade shows, etc.
- Build strong relationships with customers; understanding their business needs.
- Process a high volume of transactions with accuracy and a positive attitude.
