Our client, a leading manufacturer based in Ontario, CA, is actively seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join their team.
The ideal candidate should possess experience in operating and maintaining machinery within a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities :
- Taking complete responsibility for coating equipment operation.
- Setting up and operating the coater, adjusting coat weight, and monitoring equipment.
- Supervising a coating assistant, providing training, delegating tasks, and monitoring performance.
- Ensuring materials match order specifications and running orders according to product specifications and standard practices.
- Meeting or surpassing a strict production schedule to ensure on-time delivery.
- Accurately recording operating data, including downtime causes and performance metrics.
- Labeling and packaging finished goods for shipment per customer requirements and quality standards.
- Maintaining a well-supplied work area and communicating effectively with shift / department personnel.
- Participating in group problem-solving teams and continuous improvement initiatives.
Experience :
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Previous work experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment similar to Advantage Adhesives' core competencies.
- Ability to lift, stand, sit, bend, and twist with various weight objects throughout the shift.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Proficiency in measurement using a ruler or tape measure down to 1 / 32 .
- Willingness to learn and understand materials handling functions and requirements.
- Strong organizational skills and effective verbal and written communication abilities.
- Adaptability to challenging and dynamic work environments.
- Flexibility and willingness to work in various functional areas.
Pay and Shift details :
- Schedule : Monday to Friday
- Shift Timing : 5 : 00 am to 1 : 30 pm
- Pay Range : $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
