Summary:

The Project Manager will assist the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs in overseeing the operation and direction of several programs and services to develop and implement a comprehensive and intentional beyond the classroom experience. The Division of Student Affairs supports the mission of the institution; creates supportive environments and innovative opportunities for student learning; meets the needs and addresses the interests of a diverse campus population; and contributes to the overall development of individuals and the campus community.

Job Description:

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Work with the senior leadership within the division of student affairs to research, plan and manage logistics for divisional projects and programs.
  • Assist various offices within the division of student affairs on key initiatives, programs and services.
  • Coordinate the planning and implementation of the Lynn Leadership Institute, a leadership development experience.
  • Coordinate the implementation of the program review cycle and strategic plan framework within the Division of Student Affairs.
  • Work with unit leaders to ensure data is collected, analyzed, reported, and used to guide continuous improvement of divisional programs, services, and facilities.
  • Manage the design of divisional communication including periodic reports and presentations.
  • Develop project scopes and objectives while involving all relevant stakeholders.
  • Formulate, organize and monitor all inter-connected projects.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the successful execution of projects.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with community partners and third parties/vendors.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation for projects.
  • Develop a detailed project plan to track progress.
  • Identify, report and escalate all project problems to leadership as needed.
  • Support and implement the University mission and strategic plan.
  • Maintain professional conduct and ethical behavior at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends as needed to complete position requirements;
  • Excellent time management ,communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong leadership, judgment, managerial, organizational, interpersonal, and motivational skills; demonstrated commitment to diversity.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university required.
  • Two years related experience and/or training.
  • Must have a valid and clear Drivers License and be permitted to drive in the state of Florida.
  • Experience working in an educational setting is highly preferred.
  • Experience using design and presentation software is a plus.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) Certification is preferred.
