Job description
We are seeking a full-time Office and Warehouse Assistant with a keen attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in computer applications. While experience in office administration, purchasing, and inventory management is preferred, the ideal candidate will primarily demonstrate strong administrative capabilities and a willingness to grow within the role. This is a mixed-duty position, with an expectation of approximately 70% office work and 30% time spent in the warehouse.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Financial Support: Assist with basic bookkeeping tasks, including processing invoices, receipts, and other financial documents.
- Customer Service: Assist customers, vendors, and clients by answering queries and providing information via phone or email.
- Manage and schedule appointments
- Provide general administrative support
- Resolve order and billing discrepancies in collaboration with accounting and vendors.
- Process returns and defective items promptly.
- Monitor and track all purchase orders.
- Maintain inventory integrity through weekly cycle counts.
- Schedule and coordinate shipments with carriers (e.g., LTL, USPS, UPS, FedEx).
- Process incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts to move products safely within the warehouse.
- Perform picking and packing duties to prepare orders for shipment and will-call pickup.
- Drive company vehicles for pickups and deliveries as needed.
Requirements
- Inventory Management: 1 year (preferred)
- Education: 2-year college degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Communication Skills: Strong written and oral communication skills
- Multi-tasking: Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Organizational Skills: Ability to stay organized in a dynamic environment
- Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel)
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to handle written and numeric data and perform rapid, accurate arithmetic calculations
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong people skills
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move 50 lbs
- Warehouse Equipment: Experience operating Pallet jacks, Forklifts and other warehouse equipment
- Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
