About the role:
We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Event Captain to manage and execute events, ensuring a seamless and successful experience for our clients. This role involves coordinating with the operations manager, overseeing staff, managing event timelines, and efficiently handling all equipment and logistics. The Event Captain will serve as the primary driver for event transportation and the main point of contact for clients onsite. Key responsibilities include pre-event planning, ensuring proper packout and truck loading, leading event setup, supervising and mentoring staff, managing event service, directing event breakdown, maintaining equipment inventory, and adhering to safety standards. Additionally, the Event Captain will complete post-event reports. What we need from you:
Besides your amazing attitude, we need a dynamic individual with at least 5 years of experience and knowledge of event setup, service standards, and guest interaction, along with proven leadership and organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in event logistics and problem-solving. Daily access to the internet to retrieve schedules is required. Qualifications include a valid food handler’s card or certificate issued by county or ANSI-accredited food handler training program, with ServSafe Manager Certification and Title IV certification in responsible beverage service (or TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol) preferred. This role operates in a variety of indoor and outdoor event settings and requires flexibility in working at various times and locations throughout the valley.
