This position involves leading a team to execute department goals, analyzing and reacting to demands, and maintaining accurate inventory procedures. The Supervisor is responsible for assigning work, providing clear communication, and fostering a safe working environment while demonstrating strong leadership qualities.
Essential Job Functions:
- Make informed decisions based on individual customer requirements.
- Provide assistance and clear communication to internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of distribution policies, procedures, and warehouse management systems to resolve issues effectively.
- Led project teams to maintain inventory accuracy and streamline receiving and shipping processes.
- Managed customer orders, ensured timely shipments, and organized same-store shipments when possible.
- Coordinate customer pickup shipments and arrange schedules accordingly.
- Maintain professionalism and effectively always interact with employees.
- Ensure compliance with safety requirements and regulations.
- Provide guidance and counseling to team members on performance and disciplinary matters.
Non-Essential Functions:
- Perform additional tasks as directed, utilizing comparable skills.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work environment.
- Monitor selection, shipping, and receiving progress, addressing difficulties and reporting abnormal situations.
Education/Experience/Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Oracle ERP.
- Basic algebra skills for inventory management.
- Strong organizational abilities.
