SUMMARY
Provide professional service to existing and new policyholders, manage and maintain current client base, provide support to Producers. Maintain understanding of service techniques, product offerings and cross-selling other company products as appropriate. Including Systems Administration responsibility and Auditing for Quality Control.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Markets renewals, contacts clients, creates renewal summaries and handles other renewal activities in coordination with the Producers(s).
- Make contact with the Marketing Manager and Producer(s) to obtain the best markets for all new and renewal business.
- Performs online rating for policy quote and/or issuance.
- Assist producers in obtaining underwriting information or requests directly from the client.
- Requests renewals, endorsements and additional needed data from the companies and insured’s, based on agency guidelines. Solicits Producers assistance when necessary in order to issue coverage’s in a timely, effective manner.
- Prepare Professional Proposals, Summaries, Waivers, Applications, Finance Agreements and other documents required for signature for the Producers as requested
- Keep up to date on rate, form and coverage changes through company bulletins, Lunch & Learn, and information provided by our Marketing Manager.
- Prepares binders, certificates, account summaries, endorsements, evidences of property, auto ID cards, policies, lost policy releases and account balance status when requested. Insures that these items are delivered and/or mailed to client.
- Renews policies following agency standards; ensures that all renewals are produced.
- Informs and educates clients about policy coverage, changes, exclusions and insurance coverage needs during renewal process.
- Receives reported claims and forwards to the carrier.
- Determines reason for requests for cancellation; acts to save accounts; notifies Producer(s).
- Processes and follows up on cancellation requests to carriers to ensure accurate and timely resolution.
- Process all final cancellations.
- Maintain all electronic files in an orderly, up-to-date manner according to our agency standards.
- Maintain own follow-up and suspense file in TAM on any outstanding orders, correspondence, and follows up on overdue items.
- Attach all documents according to guidelines containing Agency Bill Invoices.
- Responsible for updating and correcting applications when processing new or renewal business or policy endorsements.
- Initiates own correspondence with companies and clients.
- Know binding authority for standard companies.
- Request binders from non-standard companies.
- Initiates renewal process for CSR24 clients.
- Invoice Agency Bill items before the end of the month in which coverage was bound.
- Responsible for resolving policy discrepancy sheets within 30 days.
- Works with processor on policy and endorsement discrepancies and resolves in timely manner.
- Instructs processor on preparing policy binders and document delivery methods.
- Assist or completes other tasks as directed by agency management.
- Assist marketing department with new business processing, as needed

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/COMPETENCIES:
- Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two or more years related experience and/or training
- Combination of education and experience preferred.
- Will require CSR 440 License or 220 Property & Casualty General Lines Agent License. Must monitor and maintain continuing education requirements.
- Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Strong customer service skills
- Must be self-starter, organized, detail oriented.
- Possess time management skills and have the ability to prioritize workload.
- Keyboarding
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to companies,, clients, and other employees of the organization.
