Position Summary:
The Account Executive in the Employee Benefits Department handles the needs of our clients in a prompt and efficient manner. The Account Executive organizes all client deliverables including but not limited to monthly data, renewal details as well as marketing to seek alternative coverages and plans.
Responsibilities:
Manages client partnership calendar including new client onboarding, processing, and negotiating renewals for all lines of coverage, compliance alerts and updates, 5500 filings, plan documentation (SPDs, SBCs, Wrap Documents, certificates of insurance, policies, etc.), and Open Enrollment preparation and execution.
Prepares and presents client facing material, including claim experience, benchmarking, rate renewals and exhibits, plan design alternatives, contribution modeling, and renewal recommendations.
Manages all policy aspects of assigned accounts.
Communicates clear expectations to the client regularly, professionally, and proactively.
Maintains a priority for accuracy, timeliness and completion when interacting with current and prospective clients, the firm and insurance company partners, demonstrating strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
Manages client inquiries and works with insurance carriers and/or internal teams to resolve client issues.
Conducts enrollment meetings, as needed with prepared material.
Reviews existing lines of business to determine if additional lines of coverage should be added and seeks proposals from the carrier to best fit the needs of the client.
Create a good rapport with clients and insurance carriers/vendors.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Maintain a 2-15 state insurance license, as required by the State Department of Insurance
Bachelor’s degree preferred plus 5 years of related experience.
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook, and PowerPoint and the ability to learn any other appropriate software systems.
Strong presentation skills, both verbal and written communication.
Other:
Travel – Intermittent, up to 20% for client meetings.
This is not a sales-related position.
