What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavioral Aide/Nanny position at M Group Alabama?
Nanny/Baby Sitter needed for a 15 year old boy who is 6’0” and weighs around 220lbs with behavioral issues. Looking for someone strong, firm, who can provide structure, and stick to a schedule. Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive and nurturing care for a child
- Create a safe and stimulating environment for a child to learn and play
- Engage child in educational and age-appropriate activities
- Prepare and serve meals and snacks for child
- Maintain a clean and organized area (help him with his laundry, keeping his room clean, basic living skills, etc)
- Follow parents' instructions regarding daily routines, schedules, and any specific needs or preferences
- Monitor child’s behavior and intervene when necessary to promote positive interactions
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in childcare, such as babysitting, nannying, or working in a daycare setting
- Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication skills to interact with both children and parents
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children of all ages
- Reliable transportation to commute to the family's location
- Become CPI (crisis prevention intervention) certified within the first 30 days of employment
Skills:
- Educate: Ability to provide educational activities that promote learning and development in children.
- First Aid: Knowledge of basic first aid techniques to respond to minor injuries or emergencies.
- Caregiving: Experience in providing compassionate care for children's physical, emotional, and social needs.
- Nannying: Experience in providing personalized care for child on a full-time basis.
- Cook: Ability to prepare nutritious meals and snacks for child.
