Job Summary:

The Design Team at M/I Homes is looking for an experienced Graphic Designer to join our team and contribute to a national brand identity and visual style. You will collaborate directly with our Creative Director to develop fresh concepts as well as work within a fixed style guide to create print and digital designs for use in 17 homebuilding divisions around the country.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Craft visual identity for campaigns, print materials, signage, and brand touchpoints
• Exercise graphic continuity to ensure a cohesive visual direction
• Develop graphics for product illustrations, logos, and websites
• Display ownership of projects and initiate collaboration with Design and Digital teams
• Adept in incorporating homebuilding hivision feedback into final design
• Clear communication in articulating scope, timelines, and recommendations
• Efficient time management and communication to deliver creative materials on brief and on time
• Meets with Project Managers and homebuilding divisions to determine scope of projects
• Strong working competency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, and After Effects)
• Perform other duties, as assigned

Minimum Education Experience:

• Five or more years of related experience; thorough knowledge of Graphic Design, communication techniques via multimedia, interactive and website design. A portfolio of work is required to demonstrate creative/conceptual and practical capabilities.

Skills and Abilities:

• Passionate about design and visual identity in combination with an eagerness to learn and deliver world class work
• Thorough knowledge of layout, hierarchy, print, and digital principles
• Excellent at managing time, self-motivated, and willing to take ownership of design projects
• Strong attention to detail and an affinity for high-quality work
• Knowledge of other design and project management tools (Figma, Hive, Asana, Trello, Jira, etc.)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
