Travel Possible M1 Support Services' is looking for an Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) Mechanic * Conducts an aggressive AGE preventive maintenance program by performing periodic and special inspections on all assigned powered and non-powered AGE equipment in accordance with applicable technical orders (TOs), work cards, checklists, and owners' manuals. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: * Troubleshoots, diagnoses, repairs, removes, and replaces components on all assigned powered and non-powered AGE, support and ground equipment including but not limited to; gas turbine engines/compressors, air compressors, hydraulic test stands, diesel and gas turbine driven generator sets, floodlights, air conditioners, maintenance stands, aircraft jacks, engines and munitions trailers. * Performs operator maintenance and service inspections on shop equipment and tools. * Performs complicated troubleshooting and repairs on electronic controls, components, and wiring on all assigned AGE equipment. * Use specialized tools and equipment, such as test stands and diagnostic equipment, to perform maintenance and repairs. * Washes, cleans, and maintains interior and exterior of all assigned AGE equipment in accordance with applicable technical orders and contract requirements. * Records all inspection/maintenance actions using AFTO Forms, Maintenance Information System and/or other means as required. * Perform stand-by as required. * Complies with all company, OSHA, AFOSH and customer safety requirements. * Performs other duties as required. Qualifications and Experience * Applicants must have at least five (5) years of specialized experience as a USAF 2A6X2, or equivalent civilian/sister service qualifications. * Must have the ability to read, understand and interpret detailed technical orders, work cards, checklists, wiring diagrams, schematics and publications. * Must obtain necessary licenses and certifications required to perform assigned duties. * Must be able to speak, read, write and express thoughts clearly in oral and written English. * Must be able to obtain/maintain a security clearance. * Current valid Driver's License * High school graduate or equivalent. Working Conditions: * Environment ranges from office-like to hangar and flightline. Extensive sitting to climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, and walking demands.
