Day-to-Day Tasks

• Gather and document business requirements.
• Write technical specifications, document process flows and data flows.
• Design, develop, test, and implement software solutions.
• Review code and test results of other programmers.
• Create database objects like tables, views, stored procedures, functions, and indexes.
• Coordinate and conduct Unit, System, and Stress testing.
• Address Helpdesk tickets related to day-to-day questions and issues.
• Implement changes requested by Business Users.
  
  

Software Environment: Sybase ASE 16, Transact-SQL, PowerBuilder v10.5, EAServer 5.50, P8, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)

Hardware Environment: Microsoft Windows servers and client platforms, as well as Unix servers.

Position Mandatory Qualification: Makes high-level design choices and dictates technical standards, including software coding standards, tools, and platforms. Designs multi-leveled architecture or component interactions of a large-scale software system.

Requested Qualifications

• 84 months experience writing PowerBuilder Code.
• 24 months experience writing PowerBuilder Code, specifically using Version 10.5
• 48 months experience with databases, including designing Tables, Triggers, Stored Procedures and writing SQL.
• 60 months experience with gathering requirements and creating design documents
• 60 months experience with projects that followed a Project Management methodology
